I purchased one of these atv's for my son 2 years ago. I too stripped the pull start. I was supposed to get a replacement from the company, but that never came in. I had to purchase from another online store. No big deal, the bike was fixed for xmas. There's a technique for pulling the starter string. It seems that the engines compression is what catches the string on every other pull. Here’s what I do, pull the string a little to cause the piston to set itself and then do a full pull. Again this is on every other pull. If you do this, you won't have any issues. One thing about the engine...it's crap, but hey what do you expect it’s a cheap toy. Even though I mixed the oil to gas as per the ratio given in the manual, my son burned this thing up. Again, not a big deal it's a weed eater engine and I can replace it. I hope this helps people who are having issues with the pull start; perhaps this site will use the advice. This is a cool little machine; but again don’t expect it to last forever, at $400 and some change you get what you pay for.
It is a piece of junk. Buyers beware it is not worht $4.99 farless $499.00. Bought one for christmas for my daughter and it has not worked yet. If you want to send it back and get a refund, you can forget it. Be very wary of buying from this company they do not stand behind there product. ** Note from evosales.com - This customer broke the pull start on his ATV. We sent a replacement at no charge (even though it's not under warranty), the customer broke the pull start again. We offered to send a third pull start, the customer wanted to return the ATV. We would accept a return but only if the customer agrees to do so according to our rules (i.e. pay for shipping).
